Death Note. Great anime. Great manga... that my friend totally needs to lend me (dammit Lily)! Wait, how many threads have I started now?... And on that note, we discuss!

Divebombed after Episode 25. A lot of people agree with that, I know. I'd say more but I'm gonna avoid posting spoilers.

I liked the substitute characters but I can see why a lot of people wouldn't. Yea. The problem was that it wasn't as suspenseful. Every episode of the first half had some kind of "holy shit, seriously?" or "oh crap, how's he going ot make it out?" type of situation. The second half really didn't have much of that. And I didn't much care for the substitue characters, maybe Mr. Chocolate Bar, but I hated Toy boy. Sweets was the best.

Divebombed after Episode 25. Blah, just cause of L's death? ...True it was sad indeed, but I continued watching, too hooked.

Simply put, the second half wasn't nearly as well written as the first half. Light vs L was far more suspenful and intriguing then Light vs Mello/Near.

Lol no...sorry. xD I guess you have a point but then again I did like these new characters like Mello. Near...seemed kind of boring IMO.

I highly doubt this Near you speak of would be a fan. Near doesn't like Near? How peculiar. Self-esteem issues, you think?
